Italian colour guard visiting UK
Mar 10, 2010

The Academy's creative director, and WGUK judge Darren Darton has recently spent time in Italy teaching an up and coming Italian colourguard, who are part of a successful Italian Marching band, Giuseppe Verdi Marching Band.

The Academy is delighted to be hosting the young members of this Italian guard for a weekend in March, in which they will spend time with The Academy in training, and will also for the first time attend a winterguard show at Burgess Hill on 14th March.

WGUK always encourage and support the building of ties with groups across Europe to help promote winter guard, and encourage new colour guards from across the waters to take part in competitive activities.

The Academy are extremely excited to be hosting and working with this group of talented colourguard members and in providing them an insight into the world of Winterguard in our country.
