IMBA enters Certified Partnership with DCE
Mar 20, 2010

The Irish Marching Bands Association (IMBA) and Drum Corps Europe have announced that the two associations will now officially enter a Certified partnership. This partnership will offer many opportunities for Irish bands to travel and compete in events across Europe.

It will also offer international bands the opportunity to compete in DCE shows hosted in Ireland. As part of this partnership the IMBA will be hosting 5 DCE certified shows in 2010. The contests will be judged by DCE certified judges and under the judging system of the DCE Competition Manual. The contests will take place in Tallaght (27th June), Arklow (11th July), Ballygar (1st August) and Clonmel (29th August). The Irish championships will take place in Athlone on 11th September.

Drum Corps Europe is delighted to have the IMBA on board and is looking forward to working with the IMBA staff. This year, DCE certified shows are held in Ireland, the United Kingdom and The Netherlands with a total of 13 shows. The full schedule can be found here.
