Kidsgrove Scouts double success in Upton
13 Jul 2009

This Saturday, at the Upton BYBA competition, saw the commencement of the Kidsgrove Scouts 2009 competitive season with their production 'The Heart'. Kidsgrove took to the field looking resplendent in their trademark red, white and black colours.

What followed was a convincing and assured high quality performance, surprising many in the crowd. Kidsgrove deservedly took first place and won all captions. Including the 'Most Entertaining Band of the Day' - a crowd based award. Also competing for the first time this year were the Kidsgrove Juniors. They put out a strong performance - winning in Cadet Class.

Rob Swindells, commented afterwards: "After a lot of hard work I am very pleased to present our shows which as an organisation we are all very proud of, a fantastic weekend for both units."
