Update regarding amplication trial

DCE, DCUK and DCN have clarified the description of instruments that can be amplified next season. All acoustic percussion membrane, acoustic percussion keyboards, latin percussion instruments and other comparable acoustic equipment used for musical effects are legal and can be amplified.
The organisations announced earlier this year that the 2009 contest season will see the introduction of a one year trial allowing the amplification of acoustic percussive membrane and acoustic percussive keyboard instruments. Because there were some questions from corps regarding the instruments that can be amplified, the description is extended.
At the conclusion of the 2009 season the amplification trial will be evaluated by the Certified Partners to discuss whether to formally incorporate it into the DCE Manual for 2010 and beyond. If corps have questions regarding the amplication they can contact DCE of DCUK.
