Distant Thunder announce 10th anniversary plans
12 Nov 2008

Next year sees Distant Thunder's tenth anniversary so it is fitting that some exciting developments are happening. The senior corps will compete as an open age unit in BYBA Associate Class for the first time and looking to the future, Distant Thunder Juniors (a new venture) is forming to bring new young people into the activity, to compete as a junior corps and ultimately help feed the senior corps.

This Sunday 16th November and Sunday 30th November from 11am to 2pm there are two taster sessions for the senior corps where existing members and prospective members can meet to find out more about our 2009 plans in readiness for rehearsals which will begin on Sunday 7th December.

As an open age unit they welcome people of any age who are interested in marching with Distant Thunder and are hoping to encourage participation from anyone with previous experience of marching and playing as well as others who have the enthusiasm and will but may lack the experience. Distant Thunder has spots available for the 2009 season in all sections.
