Buccaneers continue winning ways in DCA

The corps that started their career with a VFW National Championship has won another American Legion National Championship and added another coveted orange flag to their color party. The Reading Buccaneers fought off the charge of DCA's showmen - Empire Statesmen - and took the title by over a point (actually 1.813).
Close behind, the Caballeros caught the upstart CT Hurricanes by a scant .175 as the battle for the top 4 continues to tighten. In a battle of their own, Bushwackers edged out the Brigadiers by slightly over half a point. Rochester's Crusaders were a very respectable 7th.
This meeting of the Northeastern 7 sets the stage for the final weekend of the regular season as they prepare to be joined by the corps from the other regions at the Rochester DCA Championship Prelims on August 30th.
