New brass instruments for Poynton Commodores

Poynton Commodores are pleased to announce that we have received an Awards For All grant towards new brass instruments. With this money a big decision had to be made; should the corps wait until October to change to new Bb instruments or give the brass line the ultimate challenge of changing to the new key instruments now?
The decision was made - now is the time. Two weekends were put a side and boy did the brass line raise their game. Music was done but can they now remember the new valve combinations? We will have to wait and see on the 6th of July.
The corps would like to thank Joe Fitzpatrick for the loan of instruments enabling Poynton Commodores the chance of creating a new, richer sound. They would also like to thank the brass line for their determination to meet the challenge and never failing to surprise an old drum corps man and put a smile on his face!
