12 Jun 2008

Southern Aurora and Legion Star spent the half term week at a training camp in Zele Belgium, This was the first time either corps had done a seven day trip, and continued their move to being more European based. Drumband Zele hosted Southern Aurora and Legion Star’s stay.

Both organisations would like to thank Drumband Zele for their hospitality and for organising the accommodation and rehearsal facilitates. David Pope Corps Director of Southern Aurora said, "We could not have ask for more from Dirk and everyone at Drumband Zele. Our relationship started with Drumband Zele after attending their Tattoo last year, and this week has seen many great friendships develop, we are looking forward to their visit to Brighton."

The trip also included visits to both Paris and Disneyland and culminated at a festival in Ville de Mansy in France. Darren Spill Corps Director of Legion Star commented "It was a remarkable week, the members worked extremely hard at rehearsals, but also had a lot of fun too! It is something we will definitely be doing again."
