DCE Championships in Parkstad Limburg Stadium
7 Apr 2008

Drum Corps Europe is proud to present the venue for the DCE European Championships 2008: The 'Parkstad Limburg Stadium' in Kerkrade, home of the Dutch top class football club Roda JC. The beautiful stadium is located in the south eastern part of The Netherlands, close to the German and Belgian border.

The Parkstad Limburg Stadium has a main stand with a capacity of approx. 3,000 seats (500 more than the Sparta Stadium). "We think this is a fantastic venue for the DCE Championships", DCE Chairman Marcel Matthijsse said. "It was not easy to find a good stadium, because most football clubs are not very keen to allow corps to march on their pitch. But Roda JC has a lot of experience with this type of events, because they also host the World Music Contest every four years."

The DCE Championships will be held on Saturday 27th September 2008 and featurs 22 European top corps: 6th Hove Scouts (UK), Beatrix (NL), Blue Bandits (GER), Black Knights (UK), Blue Lions (F), Calypso (B), Distant Thunder (UK), Federatieband (NL), Jubal (NL), Juliana (NL), Kidsgrove Scouts (UK), Millennium (IT), Northern Star (UK), Poynton Commodores (UK), Senators (UK), Southern Aurora/Legion Star (UK), Starriders (GER), Wölper Löwen (GER), Johan Friso (NL), Jong Avalance (NL), Jong Beatrix (NL) and Jong Jubal (NL).

Ticket sales will start on 1st May. Details regarding the DCE Championships 2008 will be published later this month.
