CGN suprised about formation IPE
1 Nov 2007

Color Guard Nederland is surprised about the formation of indoor percussion Europe. A decision that will not have any consequences for the 2008 CGN contest season. CGN has been talking with the organiser of IPE about bringing two American indoor percussion groups to the CGN Championships 2008 in Eindhoven.

Ever since indoor percussion returned to CGN in 2003, CGN has talked about the future of the entire activity in The Netherlands and in Europe. "We were also talking to the organizer of IPE about these matters. CGN remains committed to work with the input given to us", CGN says. "We, along with our partners WGUK, DCF, DCG and WGI, have invested in the European indoor percussion activity in Europe for years, hosting competitions and providing educational events such as the Percussion Day in Waalre, the clinics with Nola Jones and Giff Howarth, and the introduction and organisation of the very first WGI European Percussion Regional coming up in February 2008."

CGN finds it regrettable that the organizer has chosen not to work with CGN or its European partners in 2008 to build the activity as a whole.
