Five corps to 'rock' Rotterdam
12 Sep 2007

Millennium, 6th Hove Scouts, Jong Avalance, Northern Star and Black Knights will 'rock' Rotterdam on the eve of the DCE Championships. These corps will be taking part in the second edition of Drum Corps Rocks the Town. On Friday 28th September, this event will once again be held on the steps of the World Trade Center.

Drum Corps Europe is pleased with the varied group of participants. "The mixture of English, Italians and Dutch also gives our free preview an international flavour”, concludes DCE's Marco Janssen. "We believe these corps are more than able to enthuse the Rotterdam public to the idea of drum corps."

Just as last year, Drum Corps Rocks the Town will again take place on the steps of the World Trade Center. The corps will perform between 19.00 and 21.00 and can be assured of a lot of public interest during late-night shopping. It is an ideal location for reaching shoppers. The steps are raised and lie at an angle above the Koopgoot next to the Coolsingel.

DCE also invites drum corps fanatics to come and have a look on Friday evening. If you want to organise a true drum corps trip at the end of September you can book an inexpensive hotel in Rotterdam. You will then be able to arrive nice and early at the Sparta Stadium the next day for the DCE Championships without too much travel time. Visit www.rotterdam.info to choose a hotel for the relevant dates.
