Langerakpark again chosen as 'Drum Corps Park'
10 Sep 2007

The borough of Rotterdam Noord has granted permission to Drum Corps Europe to use the Roel Langerakpark as a rehearsal location for the DCE Championships. The park, which is within walking distance of the Sparta Stadium, was used frequently by corps last year for rehearsals and warming up.

As there are only a limited number of places suitable for rehearsals in the immediate vicinity of the Sparta Stadium, the Roel Langerakpark was designated as a practice location by DCE for the first time last year. Not only does the park have several grassy fields, but the park also offers plenty of space for warming ups.

As so many corps wanted to rehearse in the park last year, a timetable had to be drawn up. The fields in the park are freely accessible, giving drum corps die-hards an extra opportunity to see corps rehearsing.
