Drum Corps Europe is to add mobile communications to the 2006 European
Drum Corps Championships. This year, a new service is being added
through which the audience and participants will receive real-time
scores through their mobile phones.
Commenting on the launch of the service, Marco Janssen of Drum Corps
Europe said, "We're very happy that we are now able to offer this
service. Real-time communication with an audience that has come from
all over Europe in addition to members that also extend throughout
Europe is not an easy task and our basic need has been a service
provider that combines reliability with affordability."
"Having spent much time researching and testing numerous service providers, we feel very happy in our selection of the TM4B Bulk SMS Gateway and are confident that we've made the right choice in every aspect."
The DCE European Championships 2006 will be held on Saturday, September
23rd, in The Netherlands' Sparta Rotterdam Stadium. As soon as the
scores of both the Prelims and Finals are announced, they will be
texted to mobile phones via SMS. Useful if you want to know the scores
straightaway, wherever you are.
The complete SMS package only costs EUR 1.95 and can be ordered from
the webshop from 28th August. All networks in Great Britain,
The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy and Sweden will be
supported.
