Phantom Knights celebrate 10th anniversary
1 Jul 2006

In order to mark the 10th anniversary, the Phantom Knights from Nuneaton are arranging a big anniversary party. This event will give anybody who has been involved with the corps a chance to reminisce on the past and also see what the Corp is currently doing.

The party will be held on the 14th October 2006 at the Co-Op Sports Club in Nuneaton. There will be food, music, memorabilia and (for those old enough) a bar. Admission will be by ticket only, which must be purchased before the event. As the Phantom Knights expect a high attendance, people who have marched or been part of the staff line will have first refusal on tickets. More information can be found on www.phantom-knights.com.

On the 8th October 1996 Phantom Knights was officially born. A small management committee had spent many days and nights preparing for the event, which was a quiet affair with over 40 girls and boys from Nuneaton, Coventry and Atherstone signing up for the first years membership.

The following months were spent rehearsing music specially arranged by their then musical director, Dave Green (a veteran of the marching corps scene) and a show designed by Salv Marziano. The Phantom Knights took the British marching world by storm, winning all their competitions in the summer of 1997.
